Baguette Bites

Enjoy this fresh and novel idea which brings your classic sandwich to a new level. With it’s eye catching presentation, these delightful sandwich alternatives will enhance your next event and are certain to be a real crowd pleaser. The attractive variety of crisp vegetables add that sensational appeal.

You will need:

  • French baguettes (any size)
  • Sandwich fillings such as tuna fish salad,egg salad, guacomole, salsa ...
  • Fresh veggies such as strips of fresh peppers and carrots, snap peas...

Direction:

Slice off the 2 ends of the baguette to form a straight edge on either side. Cut baguette at approximately 4” intervals. Cut each 4” piece of baguette in half on a diagonal. Stand up the pieces on the straight edge with diagonal side facing upwards. Press the soft inside of the baguette down to form a cavity. Fill the cavity with your choice of sandwich filling. Garnish with crisp fresh vegetables.

  • Homemade Pita Bread I love pita bread, but I never buy it because I can never find a brand that I like. And, I very ralrey make bread at home, but these look so fluffy and delicious that I might just have to whip up a batch! If you’re following nourishing traditions principles, make sure you soak your flour to help with digestion.
